Meet Dr. Sherria Burney
Dr. Sherria Burney is an author, illustrator, educator, and creative leader who is passionate about helping children through the love of reading and learning. She loves teaching students of all ages, storytelling, and the freedom to create different things. Dr. Burney self-published her first book in June 2023. She is the author and illustrator of all of her books. Through her books, she aspires to inspire children and adults.
Moreover, Dr. Sherria Burney is a creative and passionate educator who is dedicated to shaping young minds and preparing the youth for the future. With a strong belief in the power of education, Sherria's guiding principle in life is to empower children to make positive transformations through reading and learning. With over 15 years of experience in special education and school program administration and four years in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Sherria has developed a passion for creating inclusive learning environments that support the academic and personal growth of all students. Her faith, passion, and genuine relationships with her students have been instrumental in her success in the field of education. Sherria's career in education began as a special education teacher in various school districts in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
